Academic background

After graduating from Law School in 2002, I joined a law firm in São Paulo, where I advised clients primarily in the field of contract law. During that time, I had to translate many documents from Portuguese into English for our international clients – and while doing this,  I discovered my passion for translation. A few years later, I earned a certificate in translation and interpretation (English/Portuguese) from Associação Alumni, São Paulo. Since 2003, I have been translating for Brazilian multinational companies and law firms.

In 2006, I moved to Cologne, Germany, to pursue an LL.M. in German law. Later, I incorporated German into my working languages. Family law, children’s rights, human rights, early childhood education and fight against hunger are some of the topics I translate from German into Portuguese.

I teach online Legal English at several internationally-active law firms in Germany and Brazil. My students and lawyers and legal professionals who want to enhance their proficiency in Legal English, expanding their vocabulary and communication skills to navigate global legal landscapes with confidence.
